Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience to take a class?

No experience is necessary. We train students of every skill level, from first-time gun owners to experienced shooters. Our certified instructors meet you where you are, and our concealed carry classes provide the firearm, so you can attend even if you do not yet own one.

Where are you located?

Extreme Exigency is located at 9911 River Bend Road, Benton, Illinois 62812. Our Foundation Shooting Park spans 40 acres with seven outdoor ranges.

Do you provide firearms and ammunition for classes?

Firearms are included in our concealed carry classes only. For every other class, participants bring their own firearm. Ammunition is not included in any class, so please plan to bring your own. Check the details of your specific class when you register, or call us at 618-629-3422 if you are not sure what to bring.

How do I get my Illinois Concealed Carry License?

Illinois requires 16 hours of approved training for a new Concealed Carry License. Our Illinois Concealed Carry Weapons Permit course covers the law, safe handling, and the live fire qualification you need. We also offer a 3 hour renewal class for current license holders.

Who teaches your classes?

Our classes are taught by a team of certified firearms instructors, many of whom are active or retired law enforcement officers. You can meet the team and read their backgrounds on our instructor team page.

What does a range membership include?

A range membership gives you access to the Foundation Shooting Park's 40 acre outdoor range. We offer several options. Regular is $250 per year with no additional range fees. Associate is $50 per year with a $20 range fee each visit. Blue Line is $50 per year for law enforcement, with no additional range fees. Our monthly Range Membership is $59.99 per month, or $54.99 per month for military, law enforcement and first responders, and includes USCCA Elite Membership presented by Delta Defense.

Can I add my spouse to my membership?

Yes. On a Regular membership you can add your spouse for $50 per year, and children under 21 living at the same residence for $50 per year each. On the monthly Range Membership you can add your spouse for $29.99 per month, and they receive Foundation Shooting Park access plus their own USCCA Elite Membership.

What is your class refund policy?

All payments, including deposits, are non-refundable. You may reschedule your class one time at no additional cost, subject to availability. Any additional date change requires a new deposit or full payment, and missing a class without prior notice may result in forfeiture of your registration and payment. Please contact us before your class date if you need to reschedule.

What is the minimum age for training?

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to participate in firearms or defensive training. Our Eddie Eagle program is designed specifically for children from pre-K through fourth grade.
